Reputation System
editThe Reputation System is a custom feature designed to provide a "contained" progression path where players can farm powerful equipment that doesn't fit elsewhere in the game.
Unlike traditional systems that bottleneck progression behind a single currency, this system allows for multiple factions with different assortments of equipment. This ensures you can target the specific gear you need without being forced to complete unrelated grinds first.
Getting Started: Prontera Cathedral
editTo begin your journey, travel to the Prontera Cathedral using the coordinates .
Once inside, locate the NPC Pious Alexander. He acts as the custodian of the church's reputation. Speak to him to view your current standing, browse exclusive wares, or accept tasks to aid the church.
- Current Max Reputation: 20,000
Currencies
editAs you complete tasks for Pious Alexander, you will be rewarded with specific beads used to trade for equipment.
| Name | Usage |
|---|---|
| Prestigious Prayer Beads | Used to purchase Tier 1 and Tier 2 equipment, and for Enchanting. |
| Glorious Prayer Beads | Used to purchase Tier 3 equipment. |
How to Earn Reputation
editThere are several ways to prove your devotion. Some methods are simple, while others require high-level combat capabilities.
1. Daily Donations
editIf you are short on time, you can support the church financially.
- Action: Talk to Pious Alexander and choose to donate.
- Cost: Zeny (Amount varies).
- Reward: 50 Reputation per donation.
- Limit: 10 times per day (Max 500 Reputation/Day).
2. Quests (Hunting & Delivery)
editCheck the Quest Board or talk to Alexander to see what the church needs.
- Hunting Quests: Dispatch demons above certain levels.
- Note: These quests start rewarding Prestigious Prayer Beads only after you reach 2,500 Reputation.
- Delivery Quests: Gather specific items to help the church. These grant more Beads than Reputation.
- Requirement: You must unlock 1,000 Reputation before you can accept delivery quests.
3. MVP Bundles
editFor the monster hunters, clearing the evil from the Prontera region is highly rewarded.
- Action: Hunt and defeat any Prontera MVP.
- Drop: Prontera Cathedral Bundle (Item ID: 320002).
- Effect: Open the bundle to instantly gain 50 Reputation and a few Glorious Prayer Beads.
4. High-Tier Challenges
editOnce you are a trusted ally (2,500 Reputation), Pious Alexander will trust you with dangerous missions.
- Missions: Hunt specific MVP variants (e.g., Baphomet) or clear Instances (Evil Places).
- Reward: A high amount of Reputation and Glorious Prayer Beads.
Milestone Rewards
editProgressing through the ranks isn't just about the shop. Reaching specific milestones grants one-time rewards:
| Reputation Reached | Rewards |
|---|---|
| 1,000 | 5x Battle Manual |
| 2,500 | 10x Battle Manual |
