Reputation

Overview

The Reputation System is a core custom progression feature on AstRO. It provides dedicated regional factions where adventurers can gain standing, unlock powerful class-tailored accessories and armors, enchant high-tier equipment, and acquire exclusive animated cosmetic relics.

Unlike traditional linear systems where players are bottle-necked behind a single currency, AstRO features distinct regional factions with their own specialized thematic gear, quest lines, and progression milestones:

• Prontera Cathedral: Specializes in holy, magical, and defensive accessories/relics (Priest, Paladin, magic and hybrid archetypes).
• Payon Archers: Specializes in physical ranged, crit, and agility accessories/armors (Ranger, physical damage, and speed archetypes).
• Future Regional Factions: Planned expansions for Izlude Knights, Geffen Magic Academy, and Morocc Guilds.

Core System Mechanics

Reputation Window & Cap

• Maximum Reputation Cap: 20,000 Points per faction.
• Status Tracking: You can monitor your standing at any time via the in-game Reputation UI (accessible via character shortcuts / hotkeys).
• Character-Bound: Reputation standing and milestone rewards are tracked individually per character.

Ways to Earn Reputation

Every faction provides multiple avenues to accumulate reputation and faction coins:

1. Daily Zeny Donations: Players short on time can donate zeny up to 10 times per day (+50 Rep per donation, max +500 Rep/day). The donation cost scales dynamically with your current reputation level (100k, 1M, 10M, 100M).
2. Monster Hunting Quests: Repeatedly kill monsters of the faction's sworn enemy race (e.g., Demons in Prontera, Brutes in Payon). Grants 100 Rep per completion and begins granting faction coins at Level 3+.
3. Resource Delivery Quests: Turn in 800x of designated regional monster loot. Grants +50 Rep and generous amounts of basic faction coins.
4. Elite MVP Bounties: Defeat regional MVPs on designated maps for massive +300 Rep and 20x high-tier faction currency.
5. Instance Cleansing: Complete key regional instances daily for +300 Rep and 25x high-tier faction currency.
6. MVP Loot Bundles: Regional MVPs drop faction bundles at a 100% rate. Opening a bundle grants +50 instant Rep and 5 ~ 15 high-tier coins!

Reputation Equipment Enchantment System

Upon reaching 3,000 Reputation with either faction, players unlock the Reputation Enchantment service at the faction master. This allows socketing powerful stats and temporal bonuses into eligible reputation accessories.

Eligible Equipment

• Prontera: Valkyrie Drop, Shield Ring, Ring of Adoramus, Pendant of Solomon, Themis Balance, Memento Mori, Ameretat, Cardinal Ring.
• Payon: Glove of Saehrimnir, Metal Pick, Traveler Ring, Ring of Silver Claw.

Enchantment Sockets & Available Options

Enchants are applied in order from Slot 3 to Slot 1. You may choose your exact enchantment (100% success rate):

Resetting Enchantments

• Success Rate: 100%
• Cost: 100,000 Zeny + 10x Faction Coins
• Resets all sockets, allowing re-enchanting without risking the base item.
